Key difference about ERP systems is that they are cross-fuctional and enterprise wide.  All Fuctional departments that are involved in operations or production are integrated in one system.  In addation to manufac turing, warehousing, logistics, and information technology, this would include accounting, project management, human resource, marketing and strategic management.
